Letter to you | Feb 2025
Hi there, I hope this finds you well.
February started with a celebration for my mom's birthday. We ordered a special cake with mahjong for her and tried a new restaurant together. I'm finally doing all the stuff she used to do for me. How lucky. How time flies.
It is a much colder winter compared to the last one. Walking in the snow after eating an ice cream cone was not on my bingo card but a much-welcomed surprise. I love seeing snowflakes landing on the hair. Shiny small crystals. Sometimes, they land on your face. When the wind is blowing, you can almost taste the snow. And the best thing is that it rained for a whole day right after, so the snow didn't have a chance to get ugly. Just memory of the falling snow and the white fuzzy blanket covering everything.
I finished reading The Wind in the Willows. It was such a cute book. I think it's intended to be a children's book. But hey, “All grown-ups were once children... but only few of them remember it.” Even though the book opens in spring, it is a very cozy winter read that warms your heart. A few days after finishing reading it, my friend wanted to meet up in a bar before our dinner. It just happens to be called Toad Hall!
Piece by Piece was a very fun movie to see in the theater. I busted out my unopened Lego sets after seeing it. I want to watch A Real Pain next. Maybe this is the year I will watch more movies?
February feels so short. I was encouraged/inspired by an-old-friend-reaching-out to reach out to an old friend myself. Because life is short too.
Yours truly :)
