Letter to You | June 2025
Hi there, I hope this finds you well.
Summer is really here. It’s not as humid as it was last year, but it's still very hot. I often find myself thinking about my hometown and wondering if it was hotter there. Temperature-wise, it was probably a few degrees Celsius higher. But I don’t remember it feeling this intense. Maybe summer just felt better because of the school breaks. The heat probably didn’t bother me as much. I also rarely went out. I’ve always been a homebody, through and through.
I started a new save in Stardew Valley, this time with the SVE mod. I’m playing much more casually. No more staying up all night running my starfruit wine business. Stardew is one of those games I wish I could experience again and again for the first time. There are so many Easter eggs and interesting storylines that hit differently when they’re truly unexpected.
I finally tried an escape room for the first time, even though they have kind of passed their craze period. It was a lot of fun. The people who worked there were so sweet, which made the experience even better. At first, I felt weird about touching the props (feels rude haha), so I barely did anything. But I slowly got into it. I even bought a pin for that particular room when we escaped.
Another new thing I tried this month is solving crossword puzzles. I’ve always liked the idea but never attempted one because I kept telling myself I didn’t know enough about… well, anything. But I gave it a shot, and it was so much fun. I didn’t fill out everything, but I did way more than I thought I could. Now I’m doing the mini ones to practice.
Escape rooms and crossword puzzles aren’t the only new things this June. I also recycled my old mouse and got a new vertical one. Still getting used to it, but I’m taking my time. Hope you get to dip your toes into something new too.
Yours truly :)
