Letter to You | Mar 2026
Hi there, I hope this finds you well.
I saw an old friend in March. I hadn’t seen her in almost two years. In that time, she battled cancer and became a mom. It’s fascinating, watching a friend become a mother. We’ve known each other for half of our lives, and we were just girls then. I met her now-husband back when they were only friends. I’m so happy to see her step into this next phase of her life, to have the life she hoped for. It feels comforting.
I went to see Every Brilliant Thing with Daniel Radcliffe and really enjoyed it. My friend and I got Jollibee before the show. I went in knowing nothing, and I’m glad I did. I didn’t expect it to be about mental health, and it caught me off guard. At some point, I started noticing people sniffling. My friend wiped her eyes too.
10,000 waking up late with someone you LOVE!
The Book Censor’s Library was a fantastic read. The back cover describes it as a combination of 1984 and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and that feels exactly right. It captures its essence perfectly. I also finished reading A Room with a View and The Book Censor’s Library. Very different books. A Room with a View was a souvenir from Sandmeyer when I went to Chicago. I picked it mostly for the cover. It’s a love story, though I don’t think I loved the plot. Maybe it’s the setting. I still enjoyed reading it even though it’s not something I would usually choose.
Secrecy has this disadvantage: we lose the sense of proportion; we cannot tell whether our secret is important or not.
I keep many secrets, big and small. Sometimes I wonder how I have the space to hold them all. And do they really have to be secrets at all? Or is it just me who thinks they matter this much?
March is already bringing the showers that April promised. The weather is getting warmer, though, and I’m trying to enjoy this version of spring after weeks of fake spring. Are the flowers blooming where you are? Are you stopping to look at them?
Yours Truly :)
