Letter to you | March 2025
Hi there, I hope this finds you well.
Some cherry blossoms have started blooming. It might not last until the next I write to you. But that's okay. We will see them next spring.
These are some of the things that made me feel so lucky:
- I tried the pandan coconut cake, which I've wanted to try since last year. It was perfect with the coffee with salty cream.
- My friend took me to a candle-making class. We finished the class sooner than expected and decided to walk around. We got a Polaroid taken by a photographer.
- We were able to see half of the A Century of The New Yorker before the library closed. (Will be going back to see the other half!)
I mainly visited the tourist areas and museums when we were in DC in February. (I love the National Gallery of Art!) This time, my friends took me to food spots they had discovered since the last time I visited and old spots we'd been together before. I love a pho for breakfast, bun bo hue for lunch, and hotpot for dinner kind of day. We also went to a state park to see the waterfalls. It's wonderful to hear your friend say, "I'll take you there when you visit next time." It's an even better thing when you eventually get to do those things together.
I love being among the trees in a forest. I can stare at the boughs and branches all day. Soaking in the hot spring and looking and trees is such a treat. I hope we can all find our forest.
Yours truly :)
