Someday Things | a whiteboard, a dictionary, a subscription
Note: Sometimes things catch my attention and then get tucked away in the back of my mind. They are not urgent needs, not even practical most of the time, but things that whisper for my attention. I think of them as “Someday Things”: a kind of wishlist, but softer, less about acquisition and more about noticing, an archive of small temptations.

Mobile whiteboards in porclain steel or glass | LINTEX
Mobile whiteboards in porcelain or glass, with acoustic panel options, single or double sided, for classrooms and flexible workspaces.
I didn’t know I would ever like a whiteboard this much. But this one? It’s beautiful. Shelves. An acoustic back panel. It rolls. It comes in pink. I honestly don’t think you can ask more from a whiteboard. Just a genuinely lovely, well-designed product.
Coral Dictionary Vol.1: 2019-2022 (Accordion)
Coral Dictionary Vol.1: 2019-2022 (Accordion) — Chang Yuchen
Including 216 words that Chang Yuchen have translated with fragments of coral bodies, this is a tool book custom-designed for one person’s need in her ongoing endeavor of making a language. Published by Gong Press in two versions, paperback (open edition) and accordion (signed and numbered editio

This is a dictionary, technically. But it is also an accordion book, an artwork, and a poem. It translates coral fragments into language, which feels both improbable and oddly right.
“Coral Dictionary is a poetic investigation into the nature of language and the language of nature.”

I have so many pictures of trees on my phone. I would love to be a tree after I pass. So of course, I’m drawn to a newsletter devoted entirely to tree and forest stories. I was lucky enough to see some of the print editions in person, and someday, I hope they end up in my mailbox.
